Is your Wi-Fi not working on your laptop or PC?

No matter that what type of device or which version of Operating systems such as Windows 7, 8, 10 or other OS, there are so many factors related to Wi-Fi not working issues. So, it’s somewhat hard to find and fix the problems. However, you don’t worry; I’m here for helping you in this.

In this article, I’m going to share step-by-step procedure to troubleshoot the problem with Wi-Fi connection to rectify problems with driver software.

Step #1:

First of all, you need to check whether your Wi-Fi connection is enabled or not. How to check it?

  1. Click Window icon+ R
  2. Type “ncpa.cpl”
  3. Press enter button

Step #2:

In the network connections window, check whether your Wi-Fi is enabled or not. If it’s not in enable, then right click on it and turn it enable.

Step #3:

Still, your Wi-Fi connection is not working, then don’t worry; try this step.

  1. Click Window icon+ R
  2. Type “devmgmt.msc”
  3. Press enter button

This options guide you to open device manager in the shortcut.

Step #4:

In the device manager window, find the network adapter in the left side of the screen. And, double click to expand network adapter.

Step #5:

Once you double-click the network adapter option, then you can see available network drivers, where find your wireless network and right click on that. And, if you right click on your wireless network router, then you can see one of the options as “Update Driver Software”.

Choose the option “Update Driver Software”.

Step #6:

When you click the update driver software, another window will open and ask you to choose either “Search automatically for updated driver software” or “Browse my computer for driver software”.

Among these two options, choose “Browse my computer for driver software” to update your driver software.

Step #7:

Now, it shows a list of device drivers available for your computer. Among all, select your wireless network adapter and then click ‘Next’.

Step #8:

When your chosen network adapter updated successfully, it shows a window to display the message.

Step #9:

Still, your Wi-Fi is not working, then simply unplug the wireless connection for few seconds and then connect it. Now, check the Wi-Fi connection.

As I already said that there are so many factors results in Wi-Fi not working problem, above mentioned steps are one of the causes such as a problem with network driver software and its solution. The above steps are worked for my laptop, so I hope these steps maybe also help you to rectify problems with your Wi-Fi connection.
